Butte man gets 15 years for rape under Montana sentencing
Dillon Patrick Pierce, 32, was sentenced to 15 years in the Montana State Prison with five years suspended after a late 2019 rape. Judge Robert Whelan ordered more than 7500 dollars in restitution for the victim’s therapy and required completion of both phases of a prison sexual offender treatment program before parole eligibility. Prosecutors said Pierce knew the victim was drunk and still had intercourse without consent. defense asked for outpatient treatment instead of prison. The victim and community were cited in court remarks.
