Mrs A J Davis Saddened Butte Mourns Prominent Leader
Mrs Andrew J Davis Sr, a longtime Butte matron and social leader, died Friday night in Los Angeles after a heart attack. Funeral plans will be announced later. body to be returned to Butte for burial. She was charter member of the Butte D A R and a devout St John Episcopal member. Her husband, the late Andrew J Davis, led the First National Bank of Butte. Son Andrew J Davis Jr succeeded as bank president after his father's death in 1941.
