France Britain and Italy concluded an agreement to limit naval armaments modifying the London treaty. The text will be cabled to Washington Tokyo and Ottawa for approval. Briand said details would be published by the respective governments.
Chicago reports a suspected ring of top gangsters might use Al Capone as a front to shield real leaders of liquor vice and gambling networks. Sources say Capone’s "employers" are Chicago citizens unseen by the public, while others call the tale absurd.
The villa of Leon Trotzky on Prinkipo island in the Sea of Marmara burned to the ground this morning. Trotzky and his wife, both ill, escaped unharmed though their private possessions and manuscript material were destroyed.
