Andrea Reaviey of Great Falls and Sand Frank Seitz of Bozeman won first place in the Montana State Elks Association Youth Leadership Contest. The judging covered 18 boys and 20 girls, with the panel including Wil iam Frink and other Elks leaders from Deer Lodge Anaconda Butte and Warm Springs. Danielle Darby of Billings took second in the girls division.

Quake Hits Agadir Morocco Killing and Wreckage
A violent earthquake struck Agadir in Morocco early today killing hundreds and damaging half the city. The European sector bore most destruction in a city of about 30 000 with around 4 000 residents in that area. The quake hit at about 1 am trapping many in their homes as they slept.
