More than 300 American Legion and auxiliary members from Butte Helena Dillot Anaconda Boulder Wisdom Deere Philipsburg Sheridan attend Mining District No 6 quarterly meeting in Anaconda this afternoon. Delegations include two bands and the event honors five past department commanders. District commander Livingston of Butte will preside. The session opens at 3 oclock at the Anaconda Legion hall. Welfare of veterans and three months of Legion activities are on the agenda.

Campaign to Aid Crippled Children In Butte

A volunteer drive to aid crippled children in Butte starts Monday with over 60 field workers and a 150 staff. The Butte Chamber of Commerce hosts the campaign committee meeting led by E. Wilkenson. Dr. F. E. Savagé addresses the group as plans split the city into 38 districts for canvassing by 26 men and 12 women. A 100 cent clubs program for business houses is also approved.

The Butte Radio club board met to discuss interference from violet ray and X ray devices used at night. Judge W E Carroll warned that offenders causing static during night hours will be cited into court.

First hitch hike bootlegger found

Pontiac police report the arrest of a man on February 28 after spotting him on a highway near Pontiac bound for Chicago with two suitcases of whisky. The bootlegger faced possible liquor law charges and was taken into custody for processing.

In Colorado, a crash near Mosca Pass killed 16 year old Eloise Noble of Pueblo High and injured two others. Pilot Harry Miller reported severe winds and two impacts before the plane went down.

Certificates Awarded for First Aid Proficiency at Butte

United States Bureau of Mines rescue car No 9 issued card certificates in first aid to 175 Butte residents last night including 23 women and girls. Foreman Con O Connell supervised the five day course at the Butte Chamber of Commerce rooms and the display in respiration work. John L Boardman will collect the cards for forwarding to Pittsburgh for final Bureau of Mines certificates. The local school will resume Monday with another five day session.
