Montana patrolman Ernest DeDycker dies at 57
Former Montana Highway Patrol captain Ernest DeDycker died of a heart attack in Bozeman at age 57. Born in Butte in 1920 he served in the Army Air Corps earning the Distinguished Flying Cross. He joined the patrol in 1950 and held multiple leadership posts before retiring in Helena in 1977. He was survived by wife Viola and other family members. Services in Dahl Mortuary Bozeman Thursday at 10.

Anaconda Man Pleads Guilty in Habitual Offender Case
Edward Ford Johnson of Anaconda pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle after state Habitual Traffic Offender status. Judge Robert Boyd ordered a pre sentence investigation by the State Parole Board after Johnson, with Public Defender Byron Boggs, withdrew a prior innocence plea. Deputies and the highway patrol arrested him. A Butte Silver Bow Planning Board meeting was canceled for lack of a quorum with several members absent while reviewing county wide zoning.

Traffic death lawsuit filed in Bozeman district court
Dennis O'Connor as administrator of Jeanette O'Connor's estate sues Ophrey A. Lien for $143,000 over the March 24, 1976 traffic death of nurse Jeanette O'Connor.
