Nixon to Tour Asia and Romania on World Trip

President Nixon will leave July 23 for a round the world journey ending around August 3. He will watch Apollo 11 splashdown in the Pacific and visit five Southeast Asian cities and Romania. Secretary Rogers will join him in Asia. Mrs Nixon will accompany to Asia and Romania but not the splashdown.

Egeberg Named Health Secretary Nominee by Nixon

Noted woman dies at 71 in local hospital

Mrs. Alice S. Johnson, 71, prominent clubwoman and former Butte High School teacher, died Saturday in a local hospital. Her husband Howard A. Johnson is a practicing attorney and former Jefferson County attorney who served as Montana Supreme Court chief justice. Born March 5, 1898 in Butte, she lived there most of her life with stints in Boulder and Helena.

About 800 to 1,000 youths gained free admission Saturday after police used tear gas and chemical mace to repel a crowd at Mile High Stadium. Friday night around 100 broke through a fence to enter the event, prompting police to deploy two divisions to restore order.

Mayer Leads White House Nutrition Conference Drive

New Gallatin National Forest Visitor Center Near Labor Day

The Gallatin National Forest plans to finish a new visitor center at the 1959 Madison Canyon earthquake site before Labor Day. The 10th anniversary project uses native rock timber and a glassed-in overlook with the mountain fragment still standing from the quake. See CONNORS Page 4.
