Dead Zone Built On Berlin Wall

East Germany set a 110 yard wide dead zone on its side of the Berlin Wall ahead of Kennedy’s visit, barring entry to Western military and most East Germans. Western powers rejected the zone, calling it a brutal move in the Berlin crisis as they prepared for Kennedy’s European tour. Airman Drowns After Found Body Near Great Falls

The body of Michael R. Davis 21 of Columbus Ohio, stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base, was found in a private pond south of Great Falls. He had a bullet wound and autopsy planned to determine cause of death. Authorities suspect drowning or drowning-related injury and may search for another body.
