Former South Dakota farmer kills two lawyers in Los Angeles court
Arthur Emil Hanson, 38, from Waconda, South Dakota, shot and killed attorneys J Irving Hancock and R D McLaughlin in the Hall of Justice Los Angeles after alleging mockery and revenge in a high profile legal battle. He said he felt swindled and planned to harm them. Hanson surrendered to deputies after being restrained by a juror. He admitted ownership of the 32 caliber revolver and had carried it since a telephoned threat.
