London June 15 U P Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain warned Japan against a regre ttable incident in China over its blockade of the British concession in Tientsin. He said France and the United States would back Britain if trouble arose and noted protests by British and French ambassadors to Tokyo. The United States voiced a similar stance on foreign settlements in China.

Preliminary post mortem findings show Woodrow Meehan, 22, shot in the back near the Champion mine 16 miles northeast of Anaconda. His twin brother Thomas was killed in the same area about two years ago. Meehan’s body was found by his mother and sister. Edmonton pilot dies in Gastineau Channel seaplane crash
An Edmonton Alberta pilot Charles Tweed was killed when his Fairchild seaplane crashed into a buoy in Gastineau Channel as it prepared to take off in Juneau Alaska. Passenger Cal Pickell was rescued by 13 year old Jerry Cole. The plane burned and sank. Tweed and Pickell arrived from Edmonton the previous night.
