Reds Menace Laotian Headquarters Near Muong Phanh

VIENTIANE Laos Pathet Lao troops led by North Vietnamese officers pushed five miles south of Muong Phanh, threatening the neutralist headquarters. General Kong Le reported the deepest Pathet Lao penetration since Dong Dane last week as attacks also hit Phou Phong mountain at Lat Bouac, with possible fallback to Muong Hang airstrip under Phoumi Nosavan.

Butte Man Hurt In Car Smashup

Larry Hammond, 26, of 320 W Broadway Butte, suffered head injuries in a one car wreck two miles east of Squaw Creek Bridge on the Big Hole Basin road. His 1956 car left the road, climbed a 12 foot bank, and flew 75 feet before skidding to a stop. He was treated at St Ann Hospital. He was en route from Wisdom to his home. Highway Patrolman Joseph and Deer Lodge County Deputy Vanisko investigated, with John Pumram aiding.

Four Die in Montana Texas Car Crash North of Big Timber

A three car crash 13 miles north of Big Timber on U S Highway 191 killed two Texas youths and two Montanans. Other occupants were seriously injured including David Kitchens and Charles Kettner. The accident raised Montana's 1963 traffic toll to 100.

Tehran reports say Abdollah Zarghampur, a tribal rebel leader, was killed by Premier Assadolah Alam's troops ending a months long anti-government revolt in Fars. A Great Falls man, Tom Heisler, found his new car parked at 1200 arris in Butte damaged after a Saturday night stall. Vandals shattered two headlights bent an antenna damaged an outside mirror and stole all hubcaps on Sunday morning.

George Alvin Ostler 64 of Helmville died Sunday at St Joseph Hospital after illness starting at his ranch. Born September 10 1898 in Nephi Utah he lived in Eureka Malad Idaho and earned an engineering degree from Indiana Tri State College.
