Miners of Butte Approve New Two Year Contract
The Butte Miners' union No 1 voted 2164 in favor and 484 against a two year contract with Anaconda Copper Mining. Effective April 1, it raises wages by 112 cents per hour and adds five paid holidays. Similar agreements were approved by Anaconda and Great Falls mill and smelter unions and by craft unions in Butte, Anaconda, and Great Falls.
