Montana climate trial to proceed after court ruling

The Montana Supreme Court rejected an eleventh hour bid by Attorney General Austin Knudsen to halt the climate change trial in Helena. The 6-1 decision allows the 2020 suit by Our Children's Trust represents young Montanans to move forward, challenging MEPA as applied to fossil fuel policies and climate impacts.

Truckers narrow escape as mother grizzly threatens reader

A trucker who struck a yearling grizzly on Highway 191 in Gallatin Canyon in May narrowly escaped a dangerous encounter with the mother bear. Yellowstone guide David Reeves said the mother stood by the road while the trucker walked toward Cinnamon Lodge to check his vehicle. Reeves offered a ride. the driver declined and walked a short distance to wait for a tow.
