Rescue crews pluck Capt. Locher after deep behind enemy lines
A large U S Air Force rescue armada freed Capt Roger C Locher 28 of Sabetha Kansas after 23 days evading North Vietnamese forces. He was hoisted from a mountain area near Hanoi Friday by a 30 to 40 aircraft effort. Locher credited with three MIG kills and his F4 Phantom was shot down May 10 on his 407th combat mission.
