Butte residents J L Connell Sr. 43 and Lawrence Connell Jr. 18 were arrested and charged with first degree arson for the May 24 explosion and fire at a Gold Street home owned by Sandy Keith. Bail set at 20 000 each. Preliminary hearing scheduled for June 14 before Justice Georgia Moran. Federal authorities may pursue charges after a report to U S attorney Otis Packwood. Connell Sr. owned the Gladstone and Quincy home that also exploded March 15, 1972.
