Two 18 year old gunmen held 25 hostages for nearly seven hours at Crocker National Bank in Ranch Cordova. sheriff's deputy Cpl. Robert Ruh swapped for captives and the robbers demanded 1 million dollars and a getaway car. Nine hostages released and the suspects cooperated as authorities stated no political motive.
Montana GOP chairman urged delegates at the platform convention to seek reforms in workmen's compensation election laws taxes state institutions and welfare.
