It housed about 48 000 residents in 800 residential structures and 30 286 apartments along with schools service buildings shopping centers and civic facilities before flooding.

Seventeen-year-old Robert Weltzel Held for Murder

Thirteen-year-old Robert Weltzel was held Monday in Los Angeles on suspicion of murdering his father Elmer L. Weitzel. Police say he fired seven shots from a .22 pump action rifle in the Glendale living room Sunday night after reportedly being slapped by his father on the way home from the beach.

Kalispell May 31.4 The Glacier Corsin Lumber company of Martin City bid on 3 280 000 board feet of Emery Creek area timber at Flathead national forest bid opening. The firm offered 565 per thousand board feet for standing larch and fir 7.80 for spruce and 12.80 for white pine bidding on the timber. Bids represented a considerable opportunity and interest in regional timber prices.
