Auto Accident Fatal To Butte Youth Jack McCaughey
A 15 year old Christian Brothers High School sophomore, Jack McCaughey, died from a broken vertebra after a car carrying seven Mining City youths overturned repeatedly on U S highway No 10 bypass near the Bluebird refinery. He was the son of Mr and Mrs J B McCaughey of 622 West Broadway and had worked as a Montana Standard carrier salesman for the past three years.

Death of Butte’s Second Oldest Resident IT Coberly
IT Coberly 68 longtime Butte resident and World War I veteran died yesterday at Fort Harrison Veterans Hospital where he had resided since February. Born in Helena, he came to Butte in 1876 with his parents, later working for Western Union and Bell Telephone. He recalled a small telecommunication era and a log cabin home near Renshaw hall. he attended Butte Central School with Abe Cohen and George Porter among his classmates.
