Confessed Bandit Gets Eight Years
Bozeman police report William Eling, 24, confessed to robbing night club companions at gunpoint and was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty. He admitted taking 174 dollars from Ernest Steffens of Bozeman, while Steffens and Sue Bennett were robbed and forced to leave their car after time at a local nightclub. Eling cited drinking liquor all day prior to the crime. District Judge Harry A. Bolinger noted Eling's six years of Navy service in sentencing.

Missoula Youth Wins Fellowship for Doctoral Studies
