Marie Normandin 96 Dies in Deer Lodge Valley
Marie B. Normandin, 96, longtime Deer Lodge resident, died at St. Joseph Hospital after a four month illness. Born March 25 1858 in Montreal she married Peter Normandin in 1880 and moved to Deer Lodge Valley. Survived by five daughters, one daughter-in-law, a niece, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral held at Ross Mortuary.

Salus tiana Collado a 22 year old servant in Barcelona Spain committed death by inhaling cooking gas on Wednesday. She left the landlord an envelope with 100 pesetas about $2.50 and a note saying the money was for gas she consumed.

Woman Becomes 93rd Road Death
A Plentywood woman identified as Elynore Schendel, 22, was killed in a two vehicle crash 21 miles east of Plentywood. Her wife or husband and a 6 year old Dagmar resident were injured and taken to a local hospital. The collision occurred when Schendel’s southbound car crossed Montana Highway 5 and struck a Crosby North Dakota creamery truck. The truck driver Odean Olson and a small boy were not seriously injured. The Montana 1954 traffic death toll reached 93, compared with 130 last year.
