J M Buck about 38 carnival follower was mortally wounded early today after police answered a riot call at Olympia street and Harrison avenue. Officer Bernard Allard shot Buck after Buck struck Allard with a wagon wheel club. Buck died at St James hospital. Cowan, about 30, was arrested after beating a man named Lantor and Buck with him.
