Park search for missing boy halted in Yellowstone
A general search for 8 year old Dennis Johnson of Inyokern California has been abandoned after two weeks of searching the park after he left a family camp to look for a younger sister who was later found safe. Park Supt John S. McLaughlin said routine patrols will continue. The boy's father William Johnson, 32, will continue hunting for at least two more weeks.

Montana highway board adopts new federal aid formula

Former Butte Reporter Daniel Brown Dies in Crash
MISSOULA Montana Highway Patrol reports Daniel Brown 23 a former Montana newsman died after a car hit a horse on US 93 fifteen miles south of Missoula. Two others Glenda Scott 19 and Sheridan Barr 27 were hospitalized in fair condition. The horse perished and the car traveled about 200 feet into a swamp. Brown known for The Montana Standard Missoulian and Helena Independent Record, was riding in the front passenger seat. The crash raises Montana’s 1966 traffic toll to 151 and Missoula County leads in deaths.

Anaconda Forest Fire Reignites On Private Land
A forest fire southwest of Anaconda reactivated Tuesday afternoon burning out of control on private land. The 200 acre blaze, started Sunday, had been believed controlled earlier, with mopping up planned for Tuesday evening.
