In Monroe Georgia a mob shot dead two young Negro farm hands, their wives, and another Negro man along a roadside. Lou Harrison, who was forced to help relocate Malcolm 27, described the attack as federal officials promised an investigation.
Butte will host a new naval armory at the northwest corner of Clark park to train technical leaders for the Navy. Division 132, led by Commander Charles J. Lyden, plans a November completion with weekly 7:30 p.m. meetings at the Chamber of Commerce. Helena Montana July 2 Lyle Boehler 19 a Navy wartime airman who survived his service lost his left arm on his first days as a civilian in a crash. Boehler and three others were injured when his car side swiped a truck and hit a second vehicle. Edgar Scow 21 Bert Cramer 21 both of Helena and Henry Fred Senerius 21 of Elliston were only lightly hurt.
