City officials project a four percent tax increase and a 196 131.35 rise in expenses from 1970 71 levels. Mayor Micone cites a likely mill around sixteen thousand nine hundred fourteen dollars on a valuation of sixteen million nine hundred fourteen thousand, with county assessor figures pending.
Martin K Hannifan general manager of pdal Montana said a three year copper contract offer was rejected by the union committee. The central negotiating panel plans a Salt Lake meeting with Kennecott and Hannifan questioned whether bargaining with Montana unions would resume. He claimed a strong offer was on the table including wage increases of 1.07 dollars an hour.
