State to Appeal Powell County Road Decision
The State of Montana has filed an appeal to the State Supreme Court over a 32,235 dollar judgment won by Sandbay Construction in a Powell County highway project. The dispute centers on changed conditions that allegedly made work far costlier than the original 1958 bid for grading drainage surfaces along 2 613 miles between Garrison and Helena.

Butte area forest officials relocate from the Post Office Building to a newly completed ranger station at Monroe and White. Built by Rocky Mountain Enterprises and leased by the GSA, the facility houses offices repair shop garage and warehouse under one roof with a security yard and landscaping still in progress. Rolf B.
