AP A Soviet trawler was spotted near the Atlantic Ocean area where Virgil I Grissom's capsule landed NASA officials said the craft carried radar gear and was within 20 miles recovery teams reported. NASA chief Webb suggested the ship was likely gathering data on the recovery. Grissom faced scientists for questions about his 16 minute 303 mile flight and will undergo psychological testing as investigators seek details of the launch and control responses.

Mrs. Ruby Cochran 55 of Wasilla Alaska died in a Missoula hospital after a Saturday morning crash near Ovando. She suffered a broken neck and was traveling with her son John Cochran. the family was en route to Alaska from Houston. The one car accident left no other serious injuries and raised Montana's 1961 highway fatality toll to 152.

Libby Climbers Rescued From Snowshoe Peak by Air Force Copter
Two Libby youths, Jack Caliban and Jerry Challenor, both around 21, were stranded on Snowshoe Mountain for two days after falls. An Air Force helicopter from Fairchild AFB airlifted them to a Libby hospital where they were reported in good condition. Caliban had a broken shoulder while Challenor suffered a broken leg.
