Walker Draws Sharkey In 15 Round American Heavyweight Fight
Mickey Walker, the Jersey bulldog middleweight, earned a draw with Jack Sharkey in a 15 round battle for the American heavyweight championship. Despite being lighter 169% to 198%, Walker fought evenly and stayed in the fight as Sharkey appeared to win on points. Referee Arthur Donovan and the judges credited the close contest to Walker's resistance and Sharkey's inability to secure a decisive victory.
Popular Butte teacher Elizabeth Kilroy dies at home
Elizabeth Frances Kilroy, 1906 born in Cork, Ireland, daughter of Mr and Mrs David Kilroy, taught at Butte schools and lived at 1030 West Broadway. A Missoula Montana University graduate and former Kappa Alpha Theta president, she had been ill for two years. Continued on page 2.

Pioneers to Fly to Big Celebration
Helena July 22 Henry Sieben pioneer and David Hilger president of the Society of Montana Pioneers will fly to Salt Lake City July 24 25 and 26 for pioneer day events. Sieben first came to Montana 67 years ago to cut and bale hay in the Madison valley later moving into livestock banking and mercantile ventures. He is now librarian for the state historical society. Both are Helena residents.

Court Clerk's Books Report Perfect Audit For Year
For the second time in 30 years the three district court departments' accounts showed no errors in the past fiscal year. Deputy state examiner A. E. Williamson announced the audit of clerk Francis P. Kelly’s books, concluded yesterday, with a final report praising their perfection for the year ended June 30. Receipts totaled $10,958.60, down $57.85 from last year, with department No. 1 fees led by Judge Frank L. Riley.
