Nineteen Children Drown in Loire River Tragedy
In Angers France nineteen children aged 13 and 14 drowned as the Loire River bed collapsed during a one day outing by five counselors. By sundown ten bodies were recovered with no hope for the remaining nine. Parents wailed along the river bank near Juigné sur Loire.
