Route to Museum Opens Today in Butte
Dr. E A Bartoletti announces limited opening of the Butte World Museum of Mining with 2 30 p m ceremonies. Traffic will be directed from Park and Granite streets to the old Orphan Girl Mine site west of Montana Tech with deputies and police guiding visitors. Gov. Tim J Babcock will deliver the ribbon cutting address as officials from Butte Celebrations Inc and local government assist in the opening plans. The exhibit focus remains on mining in Butte and nearby areas with future plans for a 2 to 4 million dollar main building and mining hall of fame.

James Hudson an 18 year old Deer Park Washington youth died in a Missoula hospital after injuries from a homemade miniature race car crash. The vehicle built and driven by James Sontag 20 Missoula overturned in Orchard Homes after failing a 90 degree turn. Sontag was unhurt. Hudson died of internal injuries after more than 12 hours. The incident raised Montana 1965 traffic toll to 135 versus 137 last year.
