Children Found Safe After Vanishing From Bus
Twenty six children and their school bus driver were located near a rock quarry in Livermore California more than 24 hours after disappearing en route home from summer school. Authorities described the group as in good condition and examined by doctors. The case prompted a statewide alert for three white vans with gold trim and drew officials from the FBI and Civil Air Patrol to assist the search. The driver Frank Edward Ray Jr. was reported in good health.
