R L Jones 48 of 1904 Tammany Anaconda died in a Missoula hospital from head and chest injuries a day after a rear end collision west of Anaconda. His wife Roberta, mother in law Florence White and others were injured. Jones worked at Anaconda Reduction Works and was a foreman in the contact acid department. The accident raised Montana Independence Day toll and state fatalities for 1964.

County to vote on new lighting district for Lake Shore area
