Rene O Rouleau Dies at 67 in Butte
Rene O. Rouleau age 67 of 412 West Park died Wednesday morning from a heart attack. A former Civic Center manager and longtime school board member, he arose at 745 and collapsed at 8, was taken to the hospital and died shortly after. He was a native of a pioneer Butte family, attended local schools, Butte High and the University of Michigan, and belonged to the Butte Stagehands Union. He worked as a Motion Picture Operator and in the district court clerk's office and also managed the Montana Employment Service.

Butte Truck Hit by Freight Train No Injuries Reported
Mrs Keith L Smith and her sons Bobby and Mark escaped injury when a half ton truck was demolished by a freight train at a grade crossing 4% Mile Vue south of Butte. Engineer Edgar Rexroat estimated speed 45 to 50 mph. whistle and brakes reportedly active. The Milwaukee Road train was en route from Three Forks to Deer Lodge.

Chester Raymond Gillies, born November 14, 1939 in Butte, will be ordained as a Christian minister and teacher at the United Congregational Church Sunday evening at 8 15. He is the first young man ordained from the local church, and he recently completed studies at Chicago Theological Seminary after Macalester College.

Paving Plan Moves Forward In Gilman Bellevue Additions
Butte City Council moved toward a 1.828 million paving project in Gilman and part of Bellevue additions. The vote approved applying for a 90 000 federal grant for engineering studies. The area lies between Oregon and Harrison Avenues and Holmes Avenue south of the Interstate. A related resolution to create an improvement lighting district was also approved.
