Sands Accused of Corruption but Exonerated
Helena July 13 Chief Justice W B Sands of the Montana Supreme Court was found by the court to have violated the corrupt practices act in his campaign two years ago. The unanimous ruling held fault in the act while a 3 to 2 vote spared exoneration on the plea of good faith. The decision also addressed his campaign claim to take only 6000 dollars salary and refuse the extra 1500 paid to jurists for reporting decisions.

Football Star and Girl Save Life of Padre of Glaciers
In Alaska on July 12, the Rev Bernard Hubbard famed glacier padre was rescued from icy Taku River by Ken Chisholm former Santa Clara football star and Mary Joyce a 27 year old adventurer. Hubbard and Chisholm were stranded after a boat overturned. Joyce arrived and helped pull Hubbard to safety. Joyce recently completed a 1000 mile solo dog sled trek from Tago to Fairbanks.
