Rear end crash kills Butte motorcyclist Norman Clinite
Norman Clinite a 30 year old Butte native died in a Saturday afternoon crash when his cycle struck the rear of a stopped car driven by Lynn Bugni 19 of Butte. Police estimate speed about 60 mph and say no skid marks were found. Clinite was transported to Silver Bow County Hospital but died shortly after arrival.

Butte Man Dies in Anaconda Smelter Crash
A deceased Butte resident suffered fatal head injuries in a crash while not wearing a safety helmet. Investigators Assistant Police Chief Larry Connors and Highway Patrolman Jim Stanley examined the scene. Clinite, a lifelong Butte resident and smelterman in Anaconda, left survivors including his father Claude and children Ronald and Connie. Services are pending at Richards Funeral Home.

Mayo also rode Big Smoke for 66 points in a single display that stood out as the night’s lone successful bull ride. No all around champion was crowned as none placed in two events. Steve O'Hern Avon won bareback with 57 points on Smoke Signal, Wayne Else Wisdom took 52 points, and Bud Ferris Las Cruces NM pocketed 772 dollars in calf roping.
