The Goodyear blimp Mayflower, silver colored, was torn loose from a makeshift mooring and destroyed at Kansas City municipal airport. Pilot C. E. Brannigan of Akron was burned critically. a passenger suffered minor injuries. Two mechanics aboard included Ray Horton and Claude Hendershod. The ship valued at $60,000 had just arrived that morning and had to land earlier due to high winds and rain.

Oscar Dearmond, 35, shot and killed Mrs Nellie Lowe 35 and Arnold Puckett 20 at an Adamsville ice cream plant, then drove to a Birmingham funeral home with Lowe's body. He told his mother to meet him there and killed himself as he arrived, motive jealousy.

Butte Residents Injured In Auto Accident
Five Butte residents escaped serious injury when their automobile left the Butte Helena highway between Basin and Boulder and overturned. They were taken to a Boulder hotel where a local doctor treated their injuries.
