Anaconda Native Named New Bishop of Helena Diocese
The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Raymond G. Hunthausen, 40, Anaconda native and Carroll College president, was named bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena. He will be 41 this August and succeeds the late Most Rev. Joseph M. Gilmore, who died in San Francisco. The consecration is expected within two months at St Helena Cathedral.
