Berlin reports say the Nazi government will flood public spaces with loudspeakers to promote Hitler’s Reichstag address on Friday night. A White Book may follow, detailing the Boehm revolt’s suppression and June events, with the Reichstag session at 8 p.m. under a 100 percent Nazi lineup.
Richard Kantor, 45, a bookmaker described by police as a welcher, was shot to death and dumped from his new car in front of a Brooklyn precinct. Police, within sight of officers less than 50 feet away, said Kantor may have known he was on the spot as two shots fired from a revolver ended his life with two young men in the car.
Helen Spence Eaton, 22, who vowed never to be captured, was killed in a gunfight with guards seven miles from the Jacksonville women's prison farm after escaping the farm. She had made a fourth jailbreak, attempted to hijack transportation, and was located near a farm house before the fatal exchange.
Law enforcement intensified the hunt for Gaylord Reppy’s killer after the gas station operator was shot on July 4 near Park and Excelsior. Lawrence St Clair, 32, an ex convict, was arrested following a June 26 holdup at Montana and Silver streets identified by victim M K Hanson. St Clair, detained at West Granite Street, denied involvement and was to be further questioned.
Bozeman on July 11 District Judge Benjamin Berg granted a temporary stay on state printing contracts to be let next Saturday. Sam Hampton of Belgrade filed suit against Governor Cooney, State Treasurer Brett, and Purchasing Agent Collins, arguing the law favors unions and is unconstitutional. A July 23 hearing was set to determine permanent restraints.
Tentative registration centers have been set up in 11 Montana cities for nonresident aid seekers. Camps for the homeless will be built rapidly, with William J. Plunkett and Dr. W. J. Butler visiting July 25 for a two day inspection to support relief efforts.

The death is described as the tragic sequel to a campus romance and Neal Myers a 21 year old junior pharmacy student is being sought as a person of interest.
Memphis July 11. University of Tennessee researchers report steady progress on artificial blood. Cat subjects survived 36 hours after all blood was replaced with the synthetic fluid. Dogs show partial success as work moves toward monkey trials and human prospects.
Automobiles rolled over Butte’s new entrance from Anaconda as lower Excelsior street reopened to motor traffic. The project eliminates a dangerous curve, extends the Anaconda road and Yellowstone trail, with grading begun last fall and paving about a month ago under J. C. McGuire. The adjacent Yellowstone trail bypass toward Meaderville is not yet finished.
James A. Farley chairman of the national democratic committee and Postmaster General will arrive in Helena July 28 and speak to Montana democrats in one engagement. He will then proceed to Butte by automobile with plans for an informal reception in the city.
Kansas City on July 11 reports a buying stampede after the government crop forecast shows the 1934 grain yield at a 41 year low. Wheat climbs near five cent limit with December at 88 1/2 cents and July at 85 7/8 cents as dealers expect further gains if buying keeps up. Corn stays around 60 cents while the flour trade remains slack.
Washington reports heavy spring wheat reductions in Montana North Dakota South Dakota and Minnesota drive most of the national yield drop for 1934. July 1 forecast shows 82,911,000 bushels versus 1927–31 average 192,838,000 and 1933's 160,261,000. In four main states, output falls from 140,213,000 to 48,425,000 bushels. Montana expected 14,469,000 vs 41,099,000 five-year average.
