Mary Moran, sister of C. F. Kelley president of the Anaconda company, had her funeral from St. Patrick's church with a solemn high mass. The service featured Rev. Fathers Venus Meehan Faley Riley and a full procession of pallbearers led by local dignitaries. Interment followed at St. Patrick's cemetery.
Two women were severely injured when a glancing collision with another car sent their vehicle into a tree at Cobban street and Harrison avenue. Mrs. Josephine Powers and Miss Marguerite Shea suffered a fractured leg and facial lacerations, respectively, and were taken to Deaconess hospital. their car collided with one driven by M. R. Jones.

At Broadway and Wyoming Street two Texas men in separate cars collided with Dan Harrington's vehicle. Both said they were drivers and were arrested after officers could not determine who was driving. Both faced drunk driving charges.
Trapped in blazing wreckage after the Cleveland New York Express collides with a westbound freight three miles east of Corning New York, four Erie railroad men and a tramp die. A passenger is fatally injured. Vaughn Rose of New York City identified among those on the coach. The wreck leaves the locomotive, baggage car and two mail cars off the rails.
In London on July 11 Ambassador Charles G. Dawes met with Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald in a private House of Commons room to renew disarmament discussions between the United States and Great Britain. Dawes said only that he had talked with the premier and could not comment further while remaining closeted for several hours. The dialogue followed Dawes' earlier forres luncheon and is described as continuing with potential political significance.
City Treasurer John L. Sullivan announced a record day for personal tax payments and delinquent taxes in Butte. Tax collector George Nevin said residents now have money, noting many previously delaying payments are settling up. The surge follows a new statute delaying the list release, causing a earlier stalemate between the treasurer and county assessor.
