Lightning Strikes Butte Home Harming Porch Windows
A lightning bolt struck Ella M. Sheehan at 911 Empire in Butte around 6 40 p m Thursday. Six porch windows were shattered and part of the porch ripped apart. Firefighters stood by but no fire resulted. Mrs Sheehan did not estimate the damage.

Deer Lodge obituary notes Mrs. Frank Trask age 76 and mother of nine died Thursday at Powell County Memorial Hospital. Born May 20 1888 in Duluth Minnesota she moved to Deer Lodge in 1910 and married Frank Trask in 1912. They celebrated their golden anniversary in 1962. She belonged to St James Episcopal Church and local clubs.

The daughter of Ruth Hartford 42 of Jordan died in a Jordan hospital two days after a one car crash that killed her mother Susan Marie Hartford 19 of Watertown South Dakota. The incident raises Montana’s traffic fatalities to 124 this year versus 113 a year ago.
