Two American flyers Roger Q. Williams and Capt. Lewis Yancey, in the Pathfinder monoplane, landed in Santander Spain after a 3400 mile trans Atlantic flight from Old Orchard Maine. Fuel shortage forced a downing near the Spanish coast as they faced head winds and fog. They planned to resume to Rome next morning with Governor General Saliquet sharing a whiskey welcome.

Air Mail Week Planned by Celebration Committee
