Montana land board bids on state land for soil and gas leases
Treasure State News reports in Helena that the Montana land board will open bids this month on more than 21 000 acres of state owned land for soil and gas exploration. Bids due on 4 880 acres in 11 tracts across Golden Valley Fergus Garfield and Toole counties. Bids for 16 871 acres in Stillwater Big Horn and Golden Valley counties slated for August 11. Also note East Helena city council to consider a 37000 bond issue to add a 300000 gallon reservoir to the municipal water system with bonds either amortization or serial over 10 years redeemable in five years per City Attorney Henry Loble.
