The Helena report notes that a Great Falls firm manager Berkiner McPherson appeals a Cascade County case to Montana’s Supreme Court. Judge Guy Derry ruled the Montana State Pension Association operates slot machines as a non religious non charitable organization and found McPherson guilty of a misdemeanor with a $100 fine. The case centers on eight slot machines kept at the association’s establishment. The appeal and costs will be reviewed when the Supreme Court reconvenes September 7.
