Scout Camp Opens As 42 Cubs Registered For Attendance

Scout executive reveals 42 Cub Scouts under 10 registered for the first week of camp July 0 16 from Butte Anaconda Deer Lodge and other Silver Bow areas. Camp improvements include expanded quarters kitchen lodge painting and a new pipeline to the swimming pool. Opening dinner set for Sunday at 6 PM with camps to follow on July 16 28 and later dates.

Dillon Nimrods Enter Meet in Montana Shoot

Specian hard shooting members of the Dillon gun club will compete in Montana state shoot starting at Bull Trap and Skenb club. Herman Peterson and Jack Bar tot are among the gunners from Butte Mls, with Dillon and Missoula slated to shoot off their ice in the Montana Standards telegraphic tournament tomorrow morning.

Art Club Decorates Cabin at Montana Normal College

The Art Club of Montana State Normal College will decorate the art shack near Snowine as a summer project. Sixty Girls Register at Summer Camp in Dillon

Sixty girls enrolled at the summer recreation camp near Neil's Grove, opening yesterday, with attendance open to any girl who brings a physician examination slip. Starting today the group will cook a hot fish daily to supplement cold lunches. Committees led by Mrs. Fred Kert and others, with nurse Miss G. Routledge assisting, oversee the program at Normal College student Miss Holton Doyle's guidance.

Legionnaires set to install Beaverhead Legion officers

Dillon July 6 Special Department Commander George M. Gosman will preside at the Beaverhead Post American Legion installation meeting next Thursday. Incoming officers include Bechler as past commander and Gilbert as first vice commander. Burglary Report At Auto Supply Store Under Investigation

Police investigated a burglary at an auto parts store where four wheels were reported stolen. Clerks observed a broken back door, and George Crowley of 1345 Harrison Ave reported his car wheel stolen from the rear parking area. Another wheel had been loosened for removal.

Charles Jacobs Taken by Death

Charles Jacobs, 56, lifelong resident of Bulle, died at home on 1900 Carolina after a long illness. Survived by wife Stella, two sons and daughter in law Ardell and Clarence Jacobs, three sisters and two brothers, and a grandson. Body at Richards Funeral Home pending arrangements. Also reports a boy escaped injury after bicycle collision with a car driven by Will Morgan on Harvard and Thomas. Cuba decrees medicinal wings may be sold only at drug stores.

Bodies of flood victims recovered in Kentucky disaster

Jackson Ky July 5 bodies of 39 people trapped in eastern Kentucky mountain homes and drownings identified today. Search continued for 47 reported missing as property and livestock losses were heavy. Railroads and highways were damaged badly.
