County crew to upgrade highway to Kiddies Camp
A county road crew started work yesterday to reconstruct and grade the south approach from the Five Mile road to the Sunshine camp of the Butte Lions club. M. J. Loughran, county surveyor, said the entire road will be rebuilt to first-class condition in about five days to handle heavy traffic. The project follows growing use of the Lions club camp and aims to provide a better highway south from the Five Mile to the summer camp sponsored by local groups.

Ninety Three Scouts Headed to Camp Lowlands Outing
Butte’s 93 Boy Scouts depart today by bus and truck for a six week summer camp in the Rockies at Camp Lowlands, 15 miles northeast of Butte. Local executive Paul N. Anaconda Woman and Misoula Crash Injures One Critically
Mrs Mabel McMullen widow and chief telephone operator at the smelter in Anaconda was critically injured in a head on collision 15 miles east of here. Carl Rueber Anaconda electrician escaped with minor injuries. F C Hay of Missoula and Dr Louis Smith owner escaped unharmed. Mrs McMullen transferred to a Missoula hospital in grave condition. Rueber said his skid while passing a stopped car caused the crash.
