Butte Jubilee Ends With Army Band Concert And Fireworks
A stirring patriotic program by Maj. Chester E. Whiting leads the 100 piece United States Army Field Band at the Civic Center tonight to close Butte’s diamond jubilee celebration. The event includes the 28 replica documents in the Freedom Shrine at Butte high schools. No admission charge. Following the parade, Gen. John T. Selden and Queen Betty Lou Dahl are inducted into the Flathead tribe, with jet flyovers thrilling spectators. Riding prizes and best decorations are announced for Independence Day events, with 200 prize first place.

Burglars Crack Safe at Ivan's Market in Butte
