Mammoth gusher brings in huge gas well at Cut Bank
Cut Bank Montana July 2 The largest gas well in the western district and the highest rock pressure yet reported came in yesterday. Louis P O'Neil who runs natural gas distribution for Western Montana cities announced the well yields about 40 000 000 feet with 765 pounds rock pressure. The gas output will supply Helena Deer Lodge Anaconda Butte and Walkerville with natural gas. Two wells now produce 65 000 000 feet and six more are being drilled and expected to be completed in 30 days. A new well started half a mile south of the prize well came in with 18 000 000 feet after ONeill had the original well sunk seven more feet.
