An 18 year old quadriplegic woman in Prosser Washington plans to marry the driver Robert Cox 20 who was convicted of reckless driving after a May 23 1975 crash. Her mother Elsie McCollum opposes the marriage citing care needs and a recent move to a rehabilitation center.
A fire on the top floor of a four story nursing home in Chicago trapped elderly residents in a chapel during Mass. Thirteen died and more than thirty were injured, many from smoke inhalation. Fire officials traced the blaze to a closet. about 100 people were in the building at noon.
The Butte and Silver Bow Government Review Commissions meet Monday to consider task-force recommendations toward a unified city county charter.
