Union Ratifies Pact With Phosphate Firm
Union Local 834 of Deer Lodge approved a three year contract with Montana Phosphates Co. by a 118 to 39 vote. Bomb Discovered in Grand Central Locker
A home made bomb was found Friday in a locker at Grand Central Terminal. An unidentified man notified railroad authorities who called the police bomb squad. The device was removed and taken to Ft. Tilden in Queens where it was dismantled.

State Lacks Cash To Pay Bills Of 10.7 Million

Fire destroys Missoula lumber plant
MISSOULA AP Fumes from a broken turpentine bottle were drawn into a furnace and flames roared through the Cashway Lumber Co. building on the south edge of Missoula. Paints plastics and other materials fed the blaze, causing an estimated $40,000 in damage. Glenn Reed, former owner and manager, and two others escaped as fumes ignited after the bottle broke. Reed said the company had just been sold to Mount Lolo Lumber Co. and he was preparing to hand the business over.
