Miner Dies While Trying to Save Family in Colorado Fire
Frederick Colorado January 28 A miner Ernest L Newlin died in a heroic rescue at the burning home of Paul Martinez. He broke a window to enter the blaze and carried two children toward the door before finding it nailed shut. Seven family members were recovered cremated including Martinez and his wife Della and their five children.

Search teams from North Cape Siberia Teller Alaska hoped to recover the flyers. The wrecked Amern plane was found 90 miles southeast of North Cape by Joe Crosson.
