Butte study panel seeks public input on local government changes
A nine member study commission elected in November met in Coun cil Chambers and urged open meetings and public input. They plan listening sessions to gather views on possible changes affecting taxes water and sewer rates and police and fire protection in Butte. The panel starts work ahead of a state mandated decade review of city or county government.

Butte honors 9 centenarians at second annual celebration
Family and friends gathered at The Depot to honor five of Butte's nine centenarians Isabel Prowse Jean Waldbillig James Doc Patterson Alice Rae and Pearl Edwards. The event celebrated a century of life and the resilience shown through the Roaring 20s Great Depression wartime years and postwar changes.
